Beard trim: length evened out with clippers or scissors, so the beard looks fuller and neater, not just shorter. Good for any length, from a short boxed beard to a full beard you are growing out.

Beard shaping: the barber sets the cheek line, the neckline and the shape of the chin to fit your face. A lower, rounded shape softens a long face; a squared shape adds structure.
